Wednesday 7 November from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, Sue Prichard, Curator,Victoria and Albert Museum - Under the covers: revealing the V&A's quilt collection. The V&A's spectacular quilt collection has never been comprehensively researched, catalogued or exhibited. Sue Pritchard will talkabout V&A's new major exhibition focussing on the British tradition of quilting and will put the collection in social, historic and political context. This exhibition draws together a body of work linked by reference to themes and issues such as women and the domestic interior, consumerism, national identity, the class divide and the use of needlework as a tool of social reform.
