There were only a few of us at the March 26th meeting at the Embroiderers' Guild but the 9 quilts were wonderful and we had white gloves to touch, pat etc. They have a magnificent 1810 broderie perse coverlet, an 1880 pink/yellow wholecloth quilt in an english design donated by the Kogarah Historical Society, a 1932 deep pink wholecloth welsh quilt with lovely quilting patterns, a white Durham quilt, a stunning 1850-1970 log cabin comforter made from grosgrain and velvet ribbons and other quilts & patchwork / applique/quilt examples. Displayed on the walls of the rooms were small art quilts by Carolyn Sullivan's students, a 2007 postcard challenge and items made by Prue Socha, one of the Embroiderers' Guild's Treasures.
